Sending a Templated Email to Customers

Creating Templated Email

Creating a templated email can be very helpful for when you want to send information to a lot of your customers without losing a personal touch. To create a templated email you'll first need to;

Go to Settings > Email > Custom.

Click the +Add button.

Fill in the Email Subject, From Name and From Email.

Click OK

Write out your email template. Find out more about using Fields and Substitutions.

Click Save Changes.

Sending Templated Email

After you've built your Template, you can then send it to your customers. To do this;

Go to Sales > Customers.

Click on a Customer and under the subheading Email on the left navigation click Customer

Select template from the "From Template" drop-down.

Check the template is correct and click Send.

Fields and Substitutions

When you're making a templated email, you may want to use fields and substitutions. These are what each Field does;

{name} - Using this field will substitute in the customer's name.

{orginisation} - Using this field will substitute in the customer's organisation.

{login_email} - Using this field will substitute in the customer's email that they use to login to the website.

{num_orders} - Using this field will substitute in the number of orders that a customer has.

{date_last _order} - Using this field will substitute in the date of the last order from the customer.
